Logo Design

Logo design is where I go to sharpen my thinking. Reducing a brand's or event's identity to a single mark requires the same discipline that makes all design better — ruthless clarity about what matters, and the confidence to eliminate everything that doesn't. The exploration process is the real work. Generating a wide range of concepts, following unexpected directions, and then pressure-testing each one against the brief builds a kind of visual reasoning that carries into every other project. A designer who has wrestled with a logo brief thinks differently about hierarchy, simplicity, and meaning in every format they touch. The marks shown here represent a range of industries and brand personalities, each one the result of deep conceptual exploration before a single final direction was chosen.
